MoveStory is a free step and activity app by Mercury Project. It has no ads, no accounts and no tracking. We do not collect, store or share any of your data.
With your permission, MoveStory reads the following from Apple Health on your iPhone: steps, wheelchair pushes, wheelchair use, and the distances you move by walking and running, cycling, swimming, wheelchair, skating, rowing, paddle sports and skiing.
You can change what MoveStory may read at any time in the Settings app › Health › Data Access & Devices › MoveStory.
If you allow it, MoveStory shows today's step count on its app icon. If you turn on journey milestone notifications, it shows a local notification when you reach a milestone. These are created on your iPhone; nothing is sent through a server.
The optional Journeys feature shows routes on Apple Maps. When you create your own journey, the place names you search for are sent to Apple to find the places and the walking route, as with any Apple Maps search. Your Health data is never included.
MoveStory offers optional tips as In-App Purchases. Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see your name, payment details or Apple Account. Tips unlock nothing, and every feature is free for everyone.
MoveStory contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and uses no third-party services. The only online services it uses are Apple's: the App Store for the optional tips, and Apple Maps for the optional Journeys.
Deleting MoveStory removes everything it stored. Your data in Apple Health is not affected, because MoveStory never writes to it.
MoveStory is suitable for everyone and collects no information from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
